DHS Softball Action Slated for This Afternoon at Home
Come cheer on the Rams as they take on Marysville High at home this afternoon.
Dixon High's Varsity Softball team took on Mesa Verde at home Tuesday and scored a victory over the Maverick Bulls 7-5.
Jenna Bassler, Kristina Brown, Megan Karr and Kaeli Tully each had 2 hits. Brown hit a clutch two-out, two-run triple in the bottom of the sixth to put the Rams ahead by one. Bassler went the distance for the win, throwing all 7 seven innings and striking out 7.
On Wednesday the Varsity softball team traveled to Capital Christian and took home a 23-0 victory. Jenna Bassler pitched all 5 innings, striking out 11 and giving up just one hit. Maggie Ramirez was 5-for-5 at the plate. Kristina Brown had 3 hits including a grand slam, and Jenna Bassler also added 3 hits.

The Rams take on the defending league champion Marysville High at home Friday afternoon. JV and Varsity games start at 4 p.m.
