So Carpenter has come up with $54 million to make payments on the land? Carpenter will negotiateRead More with land owners in the press? And Carpenter's opening bid will be double what she agreed to the last time even after one person left her team citing a "lack of funding." Hi Lindsay, my comment (to Bill) disappeared and now I see that it is back. Yesterday I replied toRead More Bill's question, and saw that it was there in the comment section. And then this morning I looked and the reply was gone. Now I see it is back. The same thing happened on a post about the movie studio. It was gone, and then later reappeared.

Great to see the 4th graders getting ready for their 5th grade camp at Alliance Redwoods. I took myRead More 6th graders there for many years and Alliance has an outstanding program that keeps the kids focused on environmental education and stewardship. The night hike through the redwoods was always their favorite (along with the zip line). Note: No need to bring snacks as the dining hall meals has everything you will need, but you may want to bring some extra money for the gift shop. Dan Mattingly/Retired Teacher
