Bandwagon Fan? Not Me!

Don't like the Steelers. Practically hate the Packers. Who do I root for in this year's Super Bowl?

My team probably won't be in the Big Game for a very, very long time. Not with the York Family at the helm. But that's another story.

This dilemma has something to do with two teams that I could care less about, playing in a game that I, along with the rest of country, hold sacred. I pondered whether to even watch the game this year. I mean, who doesn't love a funny commercial right?

But something that happened at the beginning of the year - kind of, sort of - makes me wish that Aaron Rodgers takes the victory. You see, I was playing on a fantasy football league along with some friends on Facebook and Rodgers was my QB.

Week after week, Rodgers' crafty style of play and rocket arm would win me victory after victory. I went on a win streak of eight, maybe 10 (I forget), before I got de-throned when the rest of my players didn't cut the mustard for the week.

Rodgers took over the Cheese Head's favorite team at a time when another star quarterback was on his way out. For years, Brett Farve was the man in Green Bay, and Rodgers was just the young guy who had taken Farve's job. 

Farve led the Packers to two Super Bowls, winning one of them against the New England Patriots (another game which I didn't care for). Rodgers stepped into the QB seat having to live up to that legacy.

Many thought that the Packers has made the wrong decision. Bet you they ain't saying that now. No sir. They might if Rodgers loses.

I didn't win my fantasy football league, but Aaron Rodgers has a great chance at winning the biggest game in the world. Good luck to both teams, but be warned - if you win, I don't care. If you lose, don't care. 

And don't expect me to buy one of your jerseys and sport it around town if you win. My family would disown me.
