4 Ways to Get Your Sports Team Featured on Dixon Patch

Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Dixon Patch.

We know how important sports are in Dixon, and we want to help you share every exciting moment with the community. But our staff is small, so we can't get to every game.

The beauty is: all of you athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans can share your team spirit on the site with just a few clicks. News about any team is welcome!

Here are a few ways to post on Patch. Email me at justin.cox@patch.com if you have questions!

1. Start a blog about your sports team: Share stats, recaps, photos and/or videos from the game in your own sports blog. Discuss the team, coaches and players with other fans in the community.

2. Upload pictures and video of your team to our gallery: Snap an awesome photo at the game? Catch the winning touchdown on video? Upload it to our community photo gallery.

3. Place events, such as fundraisers, special competitions, etc., on the calendar: Want to get more fans in the stands? Be sure to let everyone know where and when your next game is taking place by posting it on our free event calendar. This is also a great place to let the community know the where and when of any other special team events.

4. Connect with Dixon Patch on Facebook and Twitter: If you have a team Facebook or Twitter account, be sure to tag us in your posts and tweets so that we can help spread the word. You can follow Dixon Patch on Twitter. Or, follow us on our Dixon Patch Facebook Page.

We look forward to learning more about your favorite sports team!

Great to see the 4th graders getting ready for their 5th grade camp at Alliance Redwoods. I took myRead More 6th graders there for many years and Alliance has an outstanding program that keeps the kids focused on environmental education and stewardship. The night hike through the redwoods was always their favorite (along with the zip line). Note: No need to bring snacks as the dining hall meals has everything you will need, but you may want to bring some extra money for the gift shop. Dan Mattingly/Retired Teacher

Thanks for the post Dean. The Dixon VFW has contributed several thousand dollars so far to bothRead More homes in Dixon and will be contributing a lot more in the future for these Vets. The housing program is managed by the North Bay Coummity Action Council (formerly known as the Fairfield/Suisun CAC). The Vets are very grateful for all the community support.
