Dixon Railroad Stop Once Used as Political Platform

Candidate Charles Evan Hughes , seen here on the train platform with a mustache and beard addresses the enthusiastic crowd. Hughes ran for President of the United States in 1916 and this was possibly his political tour. He eventually became a Justice of the Supreme Court. DPL Archives: #2005.1.8
