Caltrans Work Could Cause Delays on Hwy 80 In Fairfield Area

Traffic could be affected all week.

Caltrans will shut down a busy intersection on Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield this week to perform maintenance work, officials said.

The on-ramp to westbound Highway 80 at Travis Boulevard will be closed on Tuesday between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., Caltrans said.

A nearby off-ramp from westbound Highway 80 at Oliver Road will also be shut down during the same time period. Detour signs will be posted, Caltrans said.

Weather permitting, crews plan to trim trees, remove litter and clear out drains.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays.
