Vallejo Man Wanted in Connection with Petaluma Marijuana Robbery, Attempted Carjacking

Police searching for a suspect in last Tuesday's robbery and attempted carjacking in the Lucky parking lot in which nearly 2 pounds of marijuana were stolen.

Police are looking for a man involved in a robbery and attempted car jacking that occurred last Tuesday in the Lucky parking lot on Lakeville Highway.

According to Petaluma police, a 41-year-old Santa Rosa man who is suffering from cancer and uses medical marijuana set up to sell the drug online. He arranged a meeting with two men from Vallejo in the Petaluma shopping center, but during the transaction, one of the men pulled out a gun and attempted to steal his car and the drugs.

A struggle ensued and the suspects fled with about 2 pounds of marijuana, although not the victim's car. As the suspects were speeding away from the scene, they were noticed by a Petaluma police officer and pulled over. The officer noticed the stolen marijuana and arrested the driver, 23-year-old Ahman Burns, from Vallejo.

The passenger, David Hann, 27, also a Vallejo resident, was released due to insuffient evidence. Police only learned that the marijuana found in the car was stolen the following day when the Santa Rosa resident reported the theft to the police, saying he feared for his life. How, Hann has been charged with robbery, attempted carjacking, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit a crime and a warrant put out for his arrest.

The second suspect, who bailed himself out shortly after being arrested Tuesday night, was rearrested Wednesday when he showed up to the Petaluma Police Department to claim his car.

Meanwhile, no charges have been filed against the Santa Rosa resident for selling the drug online.
