Suspect Arrested in Vacaville ATM Robberies

Vacaville police have arrested a man suspected of robbing users of an ATM machine at the Wells Fargo Bank this month.

Eric Turk, 19, of Roseville, is a suspect in three armed robberies at the bank's ATM machine at 1919 Peabody Road on Tuesday, on April 10 and April 12, Sgt. Jeff King said. The victims were robbed shortly after withdrawing money from the ATM.

Vacaville public information officer Mark Mazzaferro said witnesses identified Turk as the suspect.

Turk was arrested after a car he was riding in was stopped for a vehicle code violation on Arcadia Drive and Nut Tree Road Wednesday, King said.

Turk, a former Vacaville resident, had numerous contacts with Vacaville police, King said.

The suspect in Tuesday's robbery was described by the victim as a black male adult in his late teens, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie sweatshirt and dark colored pants, Sgt. Dave Marsh said.

The suspect ran off toward Southwood Drive, evading a search by police and a K-9 unit, Marsh said.

On April 10, a man was robbed at gunpoint around 8:55 p.m. as he withdrew money from the same ATM, Marsh said.

The victim said the robber was a Hispanic male adult in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and black baseball cap, Marsh said.

There have been 27 robberies in Vacaville this year, including home invasion and restaurant takeover robberies, and police made four arrests on Wednesday, King said.

Detectives are investigating whether Turk is involved in some of those robberies, King said.
