Missing Fairfield Mother Surrenders at Travis Air Force Base

The missing Fairfield mother surrendered at the main gate of Travis Air Force Base, children appear unharmed

The Fairfield mother who had allegedly kidnapped her two children surrendered to authorities Saturday night, shortly after 8 p.m.

Solano Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Faulkner said Elmeran Casondra Stewart, 41, missing since Friday evening along with her two children, brought her two children to the main gate at Travis Air Force Base.

Base officials notified the Sheriff’s Department.

“We have verified their identity and everything seems to be in good shape,” Faulkner said.

But many questions remain such as what were the whereabouts of the mother and her two children during the past 24 hours. Faulkner said the investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff's Department called in all of their investigators to work the case after Stewart's husband told them that she had been looking at Internet sites that teach people how to harm their children.
