Dixon Man Goes to Jail after Fleeing from Police, Attempting to Ram their Patrol Car

A Dixon man went to jail early Saturday morning after he allegedly fled from police by attempting to ram their patrol car

A Dixon man is facing serious charges after he allegedly fled from officers and attempted to ram their vehicle early Saturday morning.

Dixon Police officers attempted to stop Jason Lee Wabaunsee, 36, of Dixon, at 2:20 am., for traffic violations as he drove on the 200 block of West H Street, according to police.

Wabaunsee failed to stop, and tried to get away from police by attempting to ram his vehicle into a patrol car, police said. After a short pursuit Wabaunsee crashed into a wall behind a business on the 900 block of North First Street, police said.

After crashing his vehicle, Wabaunsee allegedly failed to follow officers’ instructions and fought with them during the arrest, police said. Officers gained the upper hand on Wabaunsee and took him into custody.

Wabaunsee was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, evading a peace officer, reckless driving, DUI, driving while privilege suspended, obstructing/resisting a peace officer and violation of parole. He was taken to Solano County Jail.
