Dixon man arrested on suspicion of robbery, domestic abuse and destroying a cell phone.

Napa Police arrested 18-year-old Jose Sanchez of Dixon on suspicion of robbery, domestic battery and destruction of a wireless communication device.

Napa Police received a call at 12:43 p.m. of what was originally reported as a robbery on the 1100 block of Shetler Avenue. When officers arrived, an investigation revealed that Sanchez supposedly held down the victim and took away her phone so she couldn’t call 911. Sanchez fled the scene, but was tracked down traveling on southbound Highway 29 around 1:35 p.m. He was taken into custody without incident according to police.

Also in a separate incident, cops arrested a juvenile after a probation search on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and a probation violation after they discovered oxycodone pills that weren’t prescribed to him.
