Car Severed in Half in Early Morning Solo Accident

A car was severed completely in half after hitting a series of trees on N. Lincoln this morning. Did you hear the Calstar helicopter around 2 a.m?

A Dixon man was airlifted early this morning, after a single car accident left his car sheered completely in half.

Dixon Fire officials report around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, a man was headed northbound on N. Lincoln toward the Safeway parking lot.

He reportedly lost control of the vehicle, hitting a series of trees along the street before splitting the car in a half.

“When we arrived the driver was still seated in the driver’s side half of the car,” said Fire Captain James Francheschi, stating he is expected to make a full recovery.

At this time the accident is being investigated, and intoxication has not been ruled out.
