Armed Robber Targets Carniceria Lupita

The Dixon Police Department is searching for the suspect who walked into the popular Mexican grocery store Tuesday and robbed it at gunpoint

The Dixon Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at that took place on Tuesday evening.

Police say the suspect -- described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black jacket, jeans, a black beanie-type hat and a bandana over his face -- walked into the Mexican grocery store, located at 1145 Pitt School Road, Tuesday at 5:35 p.m., brandishing a handgun.

The man demanded money from the clerk and exited the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say that the suspected robber was in the store for a very short amount of time.
