Davis Man, Carmichael Teen Arrested on Suspicion Of Assault with Deadly Weapon in Sunday Morning Stabbing

Clayton Garzon and a 16 year-old from Carmichael were arrested in connection with stabbing at a Dixon house party

A 19 year-old man from Davis and Carmichael teenager were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a stabbing at home in Dixon early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Clayton Garzon and a 16 year-old boy from Carmichael were taken into custody in Davis around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Dixon Police Lt. Ron Willingmyre.

Investigators were initially looking for a third suspect, but after locating him they determined he wasn’t involved in the assault, Willingmyre said.

Around 1:14 a.m. Sunday, Dixon police responded to a report of a fight at a home on the 900 block of Bounds Drive, where they found a large party underway, authorities said.

The party broke up, but around 2:10 a.m. police were summoned to the Safeway parking lot on the 1200 block of Stratford Avenue for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers discovered two stabbing victims, who had been at the Bounds Drive party, according to police.

Police determined that two other people had also been stabbed at the house party, and another person was assaulted, authorities said.

Twenty one year-old Dixon residents Austin Alverado, Jorge Barragan, Andres Nevarez, as well as Vacaville resident Samuel David Haven, 21, all sustained stab wounds, according to police.

Dixon resident Tyler Miller suffered blunt force trauma to the head, police said.

Willingmyer said all the victims are doing well and have either been released from the hospital, or will soon be released.
