UPDATE: 'Norman Fire' Near Vacaville 80 Percent Contained

The 70-acre Norman vegetation fire burning north of Vacaville is now 80 percent contained, Cal Fire said around 4:45 p.m.

The fire was reported at 2:28 p.m. off Rolling Hills Lane, according to Cal Fire.

A vegetation fire north of Vacaville has burned 70 acres but its
forward progress has been stopped, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said around 4 p.m.

The three-alarm blaze dubbed the Norman Fire was reported at 2:28
p.m. off of Rolling Hills Lane, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters are battling a 40-acre vegetation fire north of Vacaville this afternoon, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 2:28 p.m. just off of Norman Court, according to the Vacaville Fire Protection District.

The fire quickly went to three alarms.

The fire has grown to 40 acres, Cal Fire officials said at about 3:20 p.m.
