2 Arrested in Unincorporated Vacaville Drive-By Shooting

Solano Sheriff's deputies take Armando Tinocoduran and Eric Alejandro Camerena into custody on suspicion of the shooting.

The Solano County Sheriff's Department arrested to individuals in connection with an unincorporated Vacaville drive-by shooting. 

Deputies arrested Armando Tinocoduran, 19, and Eric Alejandro Camerena, 21, on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. The two are accused of shooting at a rural Vacaville home.

On Friday at 3:30 p.m., Solano deputies went to the area of Hay Road and Dally road in response to a report of shots being fired in the area. The deputies learned that two people were firing shots at a home from inside a white Cadillac as they drove up and down the roadway.

Witnesses were able to provide the license plate of the vehicle and the Sheriff's Department broadcasted it to law enforcement agencies in the region. Later on that evening, at 11:30 p.m., Vacaville Police officers found the Cadillac, allegedly used during the drive-by shooting, parked in the driveway of a home on the 400 block of Isabelle Drive in Vacaville.

Solano deputies, along with Vacaville Police officers, went to the home and located Tinocoduran inside. According to police, Tinocoduran admitted to driving the car earlier in the day and shooting the gun from within the Cadillac.

A search of the vehicle yielded a .357 Magnum revolver, ammunition for the Magnum as well as other caliber guns according to the Sheriff's Department. Deputies also found spent shell casings inside the car.

After an interview with Tinocoduran, deputies learned the identity of the other individual who shot. On Saturday morning, at 10:30 a.m., deputies went to a home on the 100 block of Goldenroad Court in Vacaville to interview Camerena, whom Tinocoduran identified as the second shooter the Sheriff's Department said. 

Deputies said that Camerena admitted to being in the vehicle and firing the gun from inside it, but denied shooting at any dwelling. Police seized a .22 caliber, semi-automatic handgun from the home along with ammunition that matched the type seized from the Cadillac.

Both men were taken to jail with a bail amount set at $60,000. No injuries were reported during the shootings.
