DDBA Fundraiser Nets Over $1,500

Dear Editor,

We’d like to extend a very big thank you to all the folks who came out to our spring dinner fundraiser and raffle at benefitting the . It was a success and we hope that everyone had as great of time as we did!

Second, we must thank Bud and Cherie Fanning who so graciously affords us the opportunity to do such an easy and delicious fundraiser at their restaurant. There is no doubt that the great selections so perfectly prepared are the main component for our success. We also thank the and the DixonPatch.com for their help in publicizing the event.

We must thank our many contributors to our raffle that took the time to carefully fill and arrange their gift baskets and gift certificates that would entice any of the tightest wallets! Thanks to DixonPatch.com, The Write Mind, , , Bud’s (again) for the gift certificates, Imagine Mortgage Services, Jill Orr of , , , , Teresa and Len Schilling, Rose Cook Massage, , , and .

The DDBA was able to benefit more than $1,500 from the event. Funds will be used to continue to bring free events and activities to the downtown core such as the children’s activities at the Farmer’s Market and the Christmas Tree Lighting. We strive to promote the economic vitality of the local merchants as well as revitalize downtown as the cultural center of our community.
