Dixon Brings Holiday Cheer to Nearly 100-Seniors on Christmas Eve

(Photo Gallery) In a group effort, dozens of Dixon community members, including on-duty police officers, delivered 80-food and gift baskets to senior residents in town on Christmas Eve.

As part of the 47-year Dixon Toys for Tots tradition, dozens flooded Denverton Hall Christmas Eve morning, and then again in the evening, to bring cheer to Dixon senior citizens.

Each year after Santa heads back to the Northpole for deliveries, the program shifts gears to phase two: creating food and gift boxes for nearly 100-seniors who would otherwise be lonely Christmas eve evening.

This year, dozens of Dixon community members, including on-duty police officers, delivered 80-holiday gift baskets to senior residents in town.

Specials thanks to the Dixon Lions Club, the Dixon Girl Scouts, Ron Duprat Ford, Pedrick Produce, It's All About The Scrapbook, Dr Kristina Wiley, Every Baking Moment, and countless volunteers for making calls, loading and unloading an astounding load of groceries, and donations to this special project.
