PRESS RELEASE

Soroptimist International of Dixon along with the Dixon Downtown
Business Association have invited the Dixon Rugby Football Club, who have recently won the Boys USA Rugby National
High School Championship, to assist us in selling TNT Fireworks in the CVS (Longs)
parking lot, located at 1057 North First Street in Dixon,  beginning June 28th through July 4th,
2012.  Proceeds from our sales
will benefit the local community.  Soroptimist of Dixon continues
to contribute locally to Toys for Tots, American Cancer Society (Relay of Life)
Yolo Hospice, Dixon High Athletics, Dixon High Academics Scholarships, Sober
Grad Night, Every 15 Minutes, Woodland Heath Care, and Wreaths across America, Dixon
Dolphins, and Bids for Kids, The Junior Horse Show, and Outdoor Education for
Anderson, Tremont & Gretchen Higgins. 
  The mission of the DDBA is to enhance the business environment
and promote the revitalization of downtown as the cultural center of the
community. This will be done by establishing a participatory, active and
ongoing organization that assist existing downtown businesses through
cooperation, organization, education, and training and encourages new and
complimentary business development in the downtown area. Work to preserve and
enhance the historical nature of the downtown and promote and encourages
patronage of downtown businesses and special events. Proceeds will help fund Wine & Art Stroll, Halloween Trick or Treating, Oktoberfest,
and the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. 
Proceeds given to the Dixon Rugby Football Club will help support the
Clubs goals to develop young men and women to have strong character, teamwork, commitment,
loyalty, pride, selflessness, self-sacrifice, hard work and personal
responsibility.
