We Found a Secret in Nevada City

Escape to the Northern Queen Inn

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Yes, you have time to get away so take it! This week we're telling you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break without breaking the bank. It will make your life a little easier once you've experienced the treasured get-away.

The Northern Queen Inn is a spacious hotel, restaurant and event center tucked into a hillside of beautiful tall trees right off Highway 49 just about an hour and a half from Dixon, past Sacramento. This is off season so prices of queens start as low as $65 for a queen room, $90 for a cabin, and $110 for a chalet. It is a steal to enjoy so much of nature in one place.

If you spend all day Saturday seeing all the historical sites and wonderful shops of Nevada City, it will be a perfect place to spend the night, have a delightful breakfast in the Trolley Junction in the morning and head home after a stroll through the woods and visiting the waterfall.
