Dixon American Legion
Dixon American Legion Post 208 will hold its second annual North Bay Stand Down dinner this Saturday, August 10; starting with cocktails at 5 followed by a tri-tip or chicken dinner at 6 pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Dixon Veteran’s Hall, at 1305 N. First Street. The cost is $45 per couple or $25 single. All tickets at the door will be $30 each.
Proceeds from this dinner will be used to help finance the veteran’s “Stand down” October 15-17 to be held at the Dixon May Fair Grounds where the community and veterans offer help to needy veterans and their families.
The big attraction for the evening will be the live entertainment and final performance of the highly regarded young singing trio, the Honey Bees from Vacaville. This well known group, which has been together since their early teens, will all be off to college this year and so ends the career that has entertained thousands throughout the area for years.
