Chamber Offers "How to Run for an Elected Office" Workshop Monday

With three open seats on the DUSD School Board, the chamber wants to help interested community members learn what it takes to run for office with a free informational workout.

Have you ever wanted to run for an elected office? City Council, School Board, or any other City or Government office but were not sure how to go about it, or what it takes?  

The Dixon District Chamber of Commerce will host an Election Workshop Monday July 22, 6:30 P.M. at the Chamber office 220 N. Jefferson St.
There are three open seats for Dixon School Board this year. Come find out what it takes to run.

Mayor Jack Batchelor and School Board Member Herb Cross will be here to answer questions. Information from the Registrar of Voters Office will be available. Informative questions & answers on the the necessary papers that have to be filed and time limits for filing. Steve Johnson, Dixon City Clerk will discuss and answer questions on the the necessary papers that have to be filed.
