What Type of Business/Restaurant Should Go Into Chevy's Location?

Chevy's Fresh Mex closed its doors in Dixon on Sunday, what would you like to see replace it?

The news that Chevy's Fresh Mex closed its doors on Sunday sparked quite a bit of commentary on our Facebook page as well as on the Patch.

In one of the comments, blogger and longtime Dixonite Gary Erwin mentions he'd like to see El Charro restaurant make a comeback in Dixon.

The opening of this building can bring a plethora of business possibilities. Would it be a high-end restaurant on par with the French Laundry in Yountville? How about a BJ's Brew Pub or a Red Lobster?

Or would you like to see an entirely new business open up shop such as a clothing store?

What would you like to see in that location?

We need more good places to eat around Dixon- pickings seem to be pretty slim at times. My vote is for BJs! But I'd be on board with Chiles, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, or anything sort of like that!

I know it would never fly in Dixon -- especially since there's one in Vacaville. But I'd love to see a Fresh Choice in that space.

A Brew Pub might be nice.

I get the feeling that whichever restaurant that goes in (if it's a restaurant that goes in that is) has to be something unique, that people can get nowhere else without driving many, many miles. Something like a Cattlemen's, Bud's Pub or a Firehouse Bistro type of restaurant. Whatever it is, it's gotta be delicious!

Gourmet Roasted Nuts a small business that makes cinnamon vanilla almonds, cashews, pecans, Jamaican Rum Cashews and Pecans, and Cajun Cashews. These nuts are just "Ridcuiously Good."
