Have You Seen This Stolen Truck?

Public's help sought In recovering local businessman's truck

Despite that this old 1985 Toyota work truck was backed up to the garage door and locked, thieves managed to steal it Friday night, May 20, sometime around 10:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. from a house on the corner of Rehrmann Drive and Evans Road in Dixon, just past Tremont Elementary School.

It’s pretty hard to miss since it has a smashed in right front fender and ladders padlocked to the top of its roof rack atop the old, but custom-made service box. It has license plates of 2R4465.

"All of my tools for my business are in that truck,” said Steve Lorente. “A lot of the stuff is just nuts and bolts but there were tools that my father and my grandfather gave me.”
