City of Dixon-Various Volunteer Opportunities

The City of Dixon and Its Citizens: Working Together

The City welcomes community participation in the enhancement and expansion of city services. The City is dependent on its staff and the invaluable support of its Volunteers. Being a Volunteer encourages civic pride and provides a person sense of satisfaction. By providing quality service to The City of Dixon, both the community and its volunteers benefit in the following ways.

There are many opportunities for citizens interested in volunteering their time; from office/clerical work to landscaping and maintenance; just to name a few. Generally, these volunteer opportunities require a 3 to 6 month time commitment as program participants may require training. There are a few short/ long term special projects opportunities available. Most volunteer applicants must be at least 18 years of age (some positions require a minimum age of 16), will be required to fill out the Volunteer Program Application, and submit to a Department of Justice background check prior to placement. We no longer accept court community service appointed referrals.

Thank you for considering volunteering with the City of Dixon!

The City of Dixon is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER. Reasonable Accommodation in the application and selection process will be made upon request.
