Established in 1874, this family-owned newspaper is Dixon's oldest newspaper. The newspaper has a circulation ofMore 6,000 and is distributed at various locations throughout the city on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.</p> <p>From its downtown Dixon offices, editor Brianna Boyd covers a wide variety of topics that Dixon residents care about, including crime, city council, schools and sports.</p>

Dixon City Hall is the main administrative building for the City of Dixon and is located minutes away  fromMore downtown.</p> <p>City Hall administers a wide range of services for the city including police and fire services, as well as finance, public works, economic development, planning and a variety of others.</p> <p>Residents can apply for building permits, make payments towards their utility bills or sign up for one of the many recreational activities provided by the city's recreation and community services department. Residents can also pay some of their utility bills online through the city's Web site.</p> <p>Dixon City Council meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from within city hall. The city also streams their city council meetings live online and offers videos of its past meetings.</p> <p>City Hall is located at 600 East A St.,  and its building was dedicated on Oct. 4, 1982.</p>
