Tremont Elementary School is a K-6 elementary school situated in the west side of Dixon and is home to the Tremont Elementary Pioneers. The school consists of 670 of and 24 teachers. This diverse student body is comprised of students within a wide range of socio-economic levels with the majority of students fitting in the middle. The school houses a library, cafeteria, computer lab with 34 computers stations, infirmary, auditorium and sports facilities. Tremont Elementary does not have an after-school program, but an onsite day care facility, run by Child Development Center, provides before and after school supervision for students. The center also doubles as a preschool. The campus opened its doors in 1991 and gives parents an opportunity to be involved in the school through its parents-teachers organization.
