Christmas is Over, How to Get Rid of Your Tree

Dixon Boy Scouts has a special Christmas Tree Recycling fundraiser, or cut it up and leave it for your garbage man.

Christmas 2013 has passed, if you are looking to get rid of your tree, you have two options in Dixon.

Each year Troop 152 provides service to the residents of Dixon by picking up their used Christmas trees and recycling them.

This year, pick up dates will be: Saturday December 28th or Saturday January 4 starting at 9am.

$10 donation requested for regular trees and $20 donation requested for flocked trees.

To sign up for pick up please call 707-676-6152 or visit their website to fill out a request form.

If you are looking for a free option, you'll need a little elbow grease.

Dixon Recology will pick up your plain green tree — no tinsel, lights, ornaments, flocking, ect. — but it must be cut into three-foot sections. Simply place to segments next to your green waste toter on your pickup morning.

The company requests that you please consider this option within the next two-weeks.
