Video: Dixon Gathers for a Fireworks Show

Several hundred families gathered at Hall Memorial Park and the Dixon May Fair grounds to enjoy a fireworks show, sponsored by the Dixon Rotary Club, on the Fourth of July

The skies over Dixon were illuminated by a fireworks show Monday put on by the Dixon Rotary Club in honor of the Fourth of July.

Several hundreds families arrived early at Hall Memorial Park and also at the Dixon May Fair grounds, to enjoy the fireworks show.

The 100-degree weather during the day gave way to a luke-warm night, making for perfect weather to light some fireworks.

Families got comfortable in lawn chairs and blankets and patiently waited for the show to begin. Right around 9:40 p.m., the first firework was launched into the air to the delight of the many who gathered at Hall Memorial Park.
