Last Sunday's Big Give event was a big boon for local families who might not otherwise have enough money for school supplies. And with school beginning , Living Hope Church's annual event is timely.
People started lining up at noon for the 2 p.m. event. gave away 425 back packs w/ supplies; 50 hair cuts; 20 medical exams; 18 Tdap immunizations; tons of food, drinks, crafts and painted faces.
The event was a success for the community and the church alike, said organizer Jamie Myers.
