Higby's to Hold Kitten Adoption This Sunday

Solano County 4-H Offers $17.76 Special

For $17.76, 4-H and will provide a 'furever friend.'

If you haven't had the pleasure of having a cat, you might want to consider this bargain rate to adopt a little furry friend through th Solano County 4-H Program to be held at Higby's Feed and Farm Supply, 8470 Currey Road in Dixon.

Higby's Country Feed is family owned and operated and long supported 4-H clubs in Dixon.

"This is the first time we've done [a kitten adoption] thing, though," said Roland Higby. "But, it's a natural because it's our industry. These 4-H students and Future Farmers of America students are our future ranchers.These kinds of things support our industry. We have an extensive inventory of cat and dog food and supplies," he said.

Each adoption includes a "furever friend" that has been spayed or neutered, Fely test negative, current on vaccines, on flew preventative and has been de-wormed. It also includes a 3.5 pound bag of kitten food, and a DVD on how to care for the new pet. The adoption price does not include a $10.00 microchip, though.

The Kitten Adoption will take palce between 10 am and 2 pm but regular Sunday hours are 9:30 am to 4 pm at the store. For mroe information, call Vickie Pringle at (707) 590-0735.
