Friends of the Dixon Library Open Shop

Customers Aplenty for Used Book Store

Children and adults alike squeezed into the new little bookstore that was opened last month by the non-profit organization, Friends of the Dixon Library. The hours of the used bookstore will expand as more volunteers step up to help supervise but for now, it is open on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, 4 - 7 p.m.

It is located right next to the Public Library, on the corner of First and B Streets and offers real deals to entice readers. Children's books are only 10 cents to encourage children; all other books are priced $1 and under unless specially marked. Donations are accepted during open hours but folks may also leave donations at the public library at other times.

If anyone is interested in adding some volunteer hours to his or her schedule, the group could use the  help. Leave a message at the Dixon Public Library, 230 North First St., (707) 678-5447.
