Cross Country: Dixon Runners Go Toe-to Toe at "Run on the Green."

The cross country team treked to Woodland for its season opener at the 2-mile "Run on the Green" meet last Friday.

Anthony McDermott grabbed third place for Rams' varsity elite boys, finishing just 13 seconds behind the race winner.

Rams' varsity elite girls Cecilia Gutierrez, Jessica Hein and Shannon Bairett all placed in the top 10. Gutierrez crossed the line at 13:31, Hein finished at 14:03 and Bairett completed the event in 14:42. The race winner's time was 12:07.

Dixon will run next at the Lagoon Valley Classic Saturday in Vacaville at 8 a.m.
