Boys Basketball: Dixon Hires Sam Harrison as New Coach

The 33-year coaching veteran was an assistant coach on the St. Mary's girls' team that won the 2011 CIF Division II state title.

Sam Harrison was introduced as the Dixon High boys basketball team's new coach via a press release on Monday night.

According to the the release, Harrison has coached basketball teams for over 33 years and started coaching at the high school level in 1987. Prior to accepting the Rams' job, Harrison coached at Tokay, Calvary Temple, Edison, Franklin, Brookside and St. Mary’s high schools. 

Harrison was an assistant with the St. Mary's girls basketball team last season, which won the CIF Division II state title.
