Welcoming Home the National Champions

Dixon welcomes home the Dixon Rugby Club, who won the national championship over Penn High School over the weekend in Utah.

The Dixon Rugby Club showed up in Utah and played their hearts out against a well-trained Penn High School team, earning them a USA National Championship at the U19 single high school level.

And as the team made its way back home to Dixon, a welcome home celebration was brewing in Dixon, as the team's family members, friends and supporters gathered at the old Pardi Market site on the corner of East A and South First streets to welcome home the champs.

For the Dixon Rugby Club, winning the national championship caps off a stellar season of playing rugby, both regionally and overseas.Check out the photos from the welcome home celebration.

Congrats to the Champs!

Super cool. Its weird that the football team is so sub par in D5, but the same kids win national champs in D1. Coaching?
