Update: Unofficial Results Show DiPaola, Garcia in Lead in DUSD School Board Race

12:19 a.m. (Nov. 9) Update: The unofficial results still show DiPaola in the lead with 961 votes, Garcia second with 944 votes and Gabby third with 906 votes. All precincts have been counted.

11:28 p.m. Update: The unofficial results show Joe DiPaola now has 961 votes, Guy Garcia has 944 votes and John Gabby has 906 votes.

10:39 p.m. Update: Joe DiPaola and Guy Garcia are in the lead in the Dixon Unified School District School Board election.

So far, all of Dixon's precincts have been counted according to the Solano County Registrar of Voter's web site. The Registrar of Voters has so far counted 53 of 162 voting precincts in the county.

The unofficial results show DiPaola has received 851 votes, followed by Garcia with 847 votes. Incumbent John Gabby has so far received 805 votes.

The race is close, and we will continue updating this story as we come closer to the official results.

Original posting: The mail-in ballots that the county has received for the School Board election show that Joe DiPaola has the most votes, with 760.

Guy Garcia has garnered 715 votes and John Gabby has 689 votes. Of all the mail-in ballots, 664 votes chose only one candidate in the school board race. The unofficial results posted on the county's Registar of Voter's web site are as of 8:05 p.m.

The votes on the county's site reflect the number of mail-in ballots received in time for the Registrar's office to count them and post them by 8 p.m.

"Today is focused on the activity of the polls," wrote Steve Pierce, the county's Public Communications Officer, in an e-mail. "As the individual polling stations complete their reconciliations and turn in the voting material, the results will be updated. Realistically, the next round of results will not come until after 9 p.m."
