Davis ranked second in USA Today’s 10 Greatest Farmers Markets in the nation, which was published Tuesday. We were the top market in the agricultural-rich state of California.
The only market that beat us was the Historic Lewes Farmers Market in Delaware. As for Davis, here’s what they had to say:
...The [Wednesday night] market concert series includes food vendors, beer and wine sales, rock climbing, and kids activities. "On this long green lawn, people are throwing Frisbees and children are running around. A very social atmosphere," [the author] says. Shoppers find the bounty of California, with berries, figs, olive oil, chestnuts, asparagus and dozens of other offerings.
