Tribune: Morning View Could Name Developer By Year's End

Carissa Carpenter told the Dixon Tribune, "we have been working a lot with the city and the builders and the architects and the engineers and the designers – you name it, we've been covering it."

The possibility of a film studio in Dixon has been a heavily discussed topic for quite some time.

That discussion reached a fever pitch during the Measure N campaign, when Morning View, LLC put their plans on hold pending the election's result. (Measure N was ultimately voted down). 

On Thursday, the Dixon Tribune published an impressively detailed interview with Morning View President Carissa Carpenter, who told the Tribune, among many other things:

“Even though the community hasn’t heard much from us recently, we have been working a lot with the city and the builders and the architects and the engineers and the designers – you name it, we’ve been covering it ... We’re really, really excited and we’ve got some other new things we are doing that we can’t wait to share with the community that will benefit performing arts and education..." 

There has been plenty of speculation about what studio could possibly come to Dixon. Morning View LLC is a temporary name for the entitlement process; the true developer's name would be revealed once that stage is complete.

Carpenter says she hopes "to release the name (of the studio) by the end of the year."
