The warning signs and the evening flashers are now fully functioning at the Rehrmann and Pitt School Roads intersection but not all is working yet at the A Street intersection of Adams Street and Porter Road.
Residents in the area of the Pitt School and Rehrmann intersection reported that it was "complete chaos" for the first couple days after the signs went up but that most drivers have gotten it down, they said. No accidents were reported.
According to City of Dixon Associate Engineer Jason Riley, the poles are in place for the Adams and A Streets location but they are still waiting for the special devices a pedistrian touches to safely cross.
"It could be another week and if that's the case, we may put the lights back on a cycling program so that at least they are functioning for now," he said. The lights have been blinking the red stop light since a collission in that intersection knocked the lights out of service and damaged the poles about two weeks ago.
