Steve Alexander Pulls Mayoral Nomination Papers, Three Pull City Council Nomination Papers

Former Dixon City Councilman Ted Hickman among the three who pulled city council nomination papers

As the deadline approaches to file nomination papers for this year's city council and mayoral races, three individuals have pulled nomination papers according to the City of Dixon and a former Dixon city councilman pulls mayoral papers.

Dixon Police Capt. Steve Bird, who is also a local rugby coach, SEUI field supervisor Ian Arnold and former Dixon City Councilman and columnist Ted Hickman have each pulled nomination papers for one of two seats available on the Dixon City Council.

In addition to the three vying for a seat on the dais, former Dixon City Councilman Steve Alexander has pulled mayoral nomination papers.

So far, only Yaqinah Abdurrahman has filed the papers with the city. The three who recently pulled papers join Dixon residents Drew Graska, Roberta Beers and Jerry Castanon in pulling the nomination papers.

Earlier this week, Dixonite Gary Erwin pulled nomination papers but decided not to run because he stated that "The facts are; my job has unpredictable hours, my commute takes 40 or more hours per month and free time is in short supply in my life."

Current Dixon City Councilman Michael Ceremello has returned his mayoral nomination papers with the city. So far, current Mayor Jack Batchelor has pulled his nomination papers, but has not filed them according to the city.
