MAP: Morning View Shares Final Footprint For Planned Film Studio

The final plot of land is 548 acres in Dixon and in the Solano County.

Morning View shared a finalized map of its proposed Dixon film studio Friday. You can view it above. The previous map that was released featured just over 300 acres. This new one shows 548 acres.

"After the last city council meeting went extremely well, we were moving forward with having to put the project into three parcels," said Carpenter. But after that meeting, she said several landowners who had previously been holding out came forward and decided to sign letters of intent to sell.

"Now we can put it into more space with more buffer," she said, adding that the contiguous footprint should make the entitlements process a bit easier as well.

At the moment, Carpenter says all of the landowners have signed LOIs, and about half of them have signed purchase agreements. That process is still in motion.

"Everything as of today went back to our underwriters and bankers as the final footprint," she said.

The bulk of the footprint is on city land. The rest is on county land, and falls on two separate plots.

Morning View's goal is to open the studio by 2015.
