Get used to saying President Romney.

Mitt slammed obama.

Obama got smoked! Romney will make a strong leader!
M.Legison October 4, 2012 at 12:24 am
I've scanned all the cable channels, some of the liberal internet sites, and have yet to find one source not admitting that Romney wiped the floor with the teleprompterless Obama. But, I have faith in the Elk Grove Patch! At least one of the extreme leftists must disagree! Mark, Ric, TF, Bwood? You're going have to spin this one hard, but I know you can do it. Pray for your party's fact checkers to twist it up, and we know they will.

"I've been in business for 25 years.. I have no idea what you are talking about". Mitt to Barry.. Thank you Mr. Romney thank you for pointing out what the press won't. Obama is in trouble. He will be hammered in the next two debates and Biden is going to look like a College of Marin drop out versus Ryan.
Ric B October 4, 2012 at 12:49 am
Romney won the debate. Now he has to win the debate with himself on all the opposite stands he has taken in public, including the 5 trillion tax cut & the deduction side. Then Romney said flat out he will NOT do a 5 trillion tax cut. Romney FLAT OUT, BALD FACED LIE about his own budget proposal. We don't want another TRICKY DICK NIXON president. Good Romney can debate. He just took lying to a high art. That's what swindlers do & slick business guys!

Here comes Mr. ETCH-A-SKETCH!!! Here comes the Mirror Man!

We the people are the losers!

Why does your panel exclude addressing the majority of citizens in this country who are not Democrats or Republicans, who did not spend their evening watching this red, white and blue commercial, and who will not be voting for either of these corporate-appointed candidates?
John October 4, 2012 at 01:05 pm
I have some questions I'd like to ask the President. Why did you sign the NDAA, a law which gives the President the authority to order the indefinite detention of anyone, anywhere, including American citizens? Why are you attacking rural Pakistani villages with drones, which kill dozens of civilians (or hundreds, depending on whom you believe)? Why didn't you close Guantanamo, as you promised in 2008? Why did you go to court to extend the Bush-era wiretaps when you campaigned against them in 2008 as immoral and illegal? Why is your Justice Dept going after medical marijuana clubs more fiercely than after the crooks who caused the near-collapse of the international financial system? Why was it OK for you to assassinate an American citizen and his 16 year-old American son in Yemen, yet maintain that torture is immoral? Is murder more acceptable than torture?
Harry Limon October 4, 2012 at 01:31 pm
I still haven't gotten used to saying President Bush.
Harry Limon October 4, 2012 at 01:33 pm
Really? The SF Chronicle declared him a winner as did all the local news shows. I am a democrat, will be voting for Obama. But I admit Romney won last night's debate. The question is how important are the debates and can it erase Romney's stupid, insensitive and ill timed comments he has been making this last year or so?
Harry Limon October 4, 2012 at 01:36 pm
Biden is a literate and well read man who is quite eloquent and charming. Ryan is thin lipped, uptight Ayn Rand reading little wimp. incidentally, he likes Ayn Rand because she was against government invading the privacy of citizens. That is why Rand was pro choice.
Ric B October 4, 2012 at 10:23 pm
@ John. I am an Obama supporter, but I agree with you 100%, on the points & constitutional grounds of reasoning you make. What are we gonna do when our enemies get drone technology, let alone the moral issues surrounding this? The erosion of constitutional protections to include habeus corpus is more than troubling, it's scary!!! How do we fix this? I hope & pray Obama restores/resets these areas, but at the same time I know Presidents once gaining a power rarely give it up. Now what will us liberals, libertarians, or civil libertarians do when a neo-con/repugs in the future becomes president and runs with these new powers. Pandora's box has been opened. I hope the American realize what has happened before it's too late!
Ric B October 4, 2012 at 10:35 pm
Romney is the TAKE OVER ARTIST, RIGHT?!!! That's his specialty. So recognize it for what it is, put it in it's place & move on. Obama let him have his say, help back. Fine. Now maybe Obama is using strategy here. You know he is very competitive. Maybe he lured Romney into a trap to reveal himself. Romney walked right into it. So now it's about closing the loop around his feet. Romney threw out all his baloney. Can you say ETCH-A-SKETCH. Romeny flat out lied about his own tax plan. Stating he would not cut 5 trillion in tax cuts, really? The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center has studied his budget & found 4.8 trillion over his 10 year budget in tax cuts. He also lied about not affecting seniors on Medicare now. He said he would repeal ObamaCare, which would change Medicare for seniors now! By doing this repeal Romney would put the donut hole back in Prescription Drug(Medicare Part D) & seniors will right away pay more for their drugs. I could name several other changes Romney would cost seniors in Medicare/Medicaid changes he would do! Romney is LYING to the American public!
Mark Burnham October 5, 2012 at 12:23 pm
I'd like to have a couple drinks with Biden at a bar. not in the White House though. His public gaffes are legendary however. Dropping "F bombs" on stage with Nobama! Love it.. so "eloquent". Ryan is going to reduce Biden to drinking on stage.
Bwood October 5, 2012 at 02:00 pm
I see this as just another anti-Obama rant masquerading as, "questions I'd like to ask the president." No? Then why don't you actually ask the PRESIDENT instead of posting here?
Bwood October 5, 2012 at 02:26 pm
I have no problem with who won the debate. I have not commented on this issue until you brought it up. I would like to hear your spin however, on why you are trying to pick a fight about this.

Didn't O'Reilly's just close on the other side of town? There's a 'for lease' sign on the building.

Great to see the 4th graders getting ready for their 5th grade camp at Alliance Redwoods. I took myRead More 6th graders there for many years and Alliance has an outstanding program that keeps the kids focused on environmental education and stewardship. The night hike through the redwoods was always their favorite (along with the zip line). Note: No need to bring snacks as the dining hall meals has everything you will need, but you may want to bring some extra money for the gift shop. Dan Mattingly/Retired Teacher

Thanks for the post Dean. The Dixon VFW has contributed several thousand dollars so far to bothRead More homes in Dixon and will be contributing a lot more in the future for these Vets. The housing program is managed by the North Bay Coummity Action Council (formerly known as the Fairfield/Suisun CAC). The Vets are very grateful for all the community support. One project we are trying to get funding or donations for is we need approximately 50 cubic yards ofRead More top soil to even out the back and side yards and bring them up even with the patio in the back.

Hi Dean. Come to the next VFW meeting. I'm sure the members will support this. You might want toRead More get an estimate from Dixon Landscape Materials for a fill dirt load.
