Last Chance: Dixon City Council Meets, Chance to Shape DUSD Policy Deadline Looms

These are some important dates that you will not want to miss.

Anyone who is interested in helping shape important policies within will want to be sign up for a task force that will do just that.

The district is searching for applicants to serve on a task force that will make recommendations to the board about the district's substance abuse policy and the way that temporary coaches are hired and fired.

The deadline to apply for the commissions is on Thursday, March 29. A drawing that will select the members of the commission, if necessary, will take place on Friday, March 30.

Parents, guardians and community members interested in volunteering to serve on the Task Force should apply to be members at the District Office located at 180 South 1st Street, Suite 6, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Dixon City Council will meet tonight within its chambers at 600 East A Street. The agenda can be found here.

Tonight the council will seek to amend the salary range for the city's Finanace and Technology Director; take further action on 59 Measure B residential allotments from the "Allotment Pool" to Richland Communities for the Valley Glen Apartments project; and give its staff direction on the scope of traffic analysis in Old Town resulting from the Valley Glen Apartment project.
