Info from the City of Dixon
Calling all amateur photographers – we are seeking photos to celebrate what makes Dixon great. The digital photographs should appear to be current.
Categories include, Celebrations (Fairs, Parades, Special Events), Sports, Outdoors, and Local Heroes (Volunteers, Teachers, Police, Fire).
Become a Fan of the City’s Facebook page, to get the chance to vote on a Fan Favorite. The photo with the most “likes” wins and will have their photograph posted on the City of Dixon homepage.
All photographs must be entered in a DIGITAL format, accompanied by the signed waiver form. The minimum resolution is 300 dpi (dots per inch). Entries must be submitted to dixonweb@ci.dixon.ca.us and accompanied by the entry form and signed waiver (posted at www.ci.dixon.ca.us).
There is no cash prize associated with this contest. A judging panel will be brought together to review all submissions and the category winners will receive a Certificate that may be presented at a City Council meeting. Photos selected may appear in Dixon publications such as the annual budget, the City’s website, and social media. Since this is a “Flash Photo Contest”, the deadline to submit is July 31, 2012.
Start voting for Fan Favorite beginning Aug. 1 through Aug. 15.
