County Exhibit Wins Again at California State Fair

Exhibit wins People's Choice Award and Manager's Award

The Solano County exhibit at the California State Fair can add two more awards to its impressive resume – the People’s Choice Award and the Manager’s Award.

On opening day of the state fair, the judges announced the Solano County 2011 exhibit won a Gold Award and the Best Agricultural Display Award.

The People’s Choice Award is selected by the fairgoers as their favorite exhibit.  The Manager’s Award recognizes the outstanding management of the exhibit throughout the run of the fair, friendliness of the people staffing the exhibit, and the quality of the handouts.

The exhibit showcased Solano County agriculture.  A giant green thumb took center stage in a green garden patch and a green house, immersing visitors in the story of agriculture.

As is the tradition for Solano County, the exhibit integrated a learning environment with whimsical characters, abundant memorabilia, twinkling lights, animated displays, and local produce.
