Winters Man Dies in Solo-Vehicle Traffic Accident in Unincorporated Solano County

The CHP and Dixon Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident this morning in which a Winters man lost his life

A Winters man was killed this morning when the vehicle he was riding in collided with a tree northwest of Dixon.

The man, whom the California Highway Patrol identified as 58-year-old Alfredo De Los Santos, was driving a 1983 Toyota Celica south along on the 9200 block of Boyce Road, south of Putah Creek Road in unincorporated Solano County at 6:56 a.m.

For reasons currently under investigation, De Los Santos ran off the roadway edge and struck a tree head-on, the CHP said.

responded to the scene to assist De Los Santos, but were unable to save his life. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Dixon Fire staff, according to the CHP.

A Solano County Coroner arrived at the scene to take De Los Santon's body into custody. De Los Santos was wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision, according to the CHP, and it appears that neither drugs or alcohol had anything to do with the accident.
