UPDATE: Police Chief Comments on Suspect Arrested in Shooting Case Sunday Night

No answers have been offered by Dixon Police Department about shots and sirens heard around midnight Sunday, however the Solano County jail booking log reports Jorge Navarro was arrested in Dixon on several charges: attempted murder and firearm use.

UPDATE Sept. 11: Dixon Police Chief Cox contacted Patch to let readers know that although the suspect was booked in the Solano County Jail under PC Code 187 Murder, he was additionally booked under PC code 664, which makes the charge Attempted Murder. He states that the investigation will still not allow for comment, however he can confirm no one was injured by the gunshots that were fired.

Although Dixon Police have not released official information regarding shots and sirens heard around midnight Sunday, the Solano County Jail booking logs may lend answers, or simply more questions about an incident in Dixon.

Jorge Angel Leon Navarro, 28, was arrest by Dixon Police Department, and booked into the Solano County Jail on Sept. 9 at 4:45AM. Taken into custody on the 400 block of Esperanza Road, Dixon.

His charges include four felony and two misdemeanor charges for Attempted Murder, Conspiracy, Shooting in a Habited Dwelling/Vehicle, Discharge of a Firearm in Vehicle, Loaded Firearm in Public, and Intent to Terrorize.

The suspect is currently held without bail.
