Solano Law Enforcement Looking For Man Who Allegedly Stabbed Roommate

Solano County law enforcement agencies are on the lookout for a man who allegedly stabbed his roommate in a Vacaville residence Tuesday afternoon.

The 53-year-old victim called police around 5 p.m. to report that his roommate stabbed him multiple times during an argument in the home in the 100 block of Catalpa Lane, Vacaville police Lt. Mark Donaldson said.

Police identified the suspect as 51-year-old Albert Whitefeather Careyette Jr. and said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Officers found the victim with critical stab wounds lying in his front yard, Donaldson said.

The Vacaville Fire Department took the man to Kaiser Permanente Napa-Solano Hospital in Vacaville.

Careyette is a white man who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said he fled the home in a black, 4-door 2004 Honda Accord with a California license plate of 5JMS555.

Police have been to the roommates' residence several times in the past and said there were weapons in the house, Vacaville city spokesman Mark Mazzaferro said.
