The Solano County coroner's office has identified a man who died in a solo vehicle crash near Vacaville on Sunday as 20-year-old Jonathan Allan Friesen.
Friesen, a Vacaville resident, was driving a 1989 Ford Mustang north on Pleasants Valley Road near Putah Creek Road and Lake Solano Recreation Park around 6:55 a.m. Sunday, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Matt Timmons said.

Friesen drove straight through a curve and struck a tree on the side of the road, Timmons said. The tree made a "major intrusion" in the Mustang, he said.
Friesen was not wearing seat restraints and was pinned in the Mustang. He was pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived at the scene, Timmons said.
Investigators do not yet know if alcohol was involved in the crash, which blocked Pleasants Valley Road for three hours, Timmons said.
