Shingle Springs Man Found Dead at Wal-Mart Parking Lot

The Dixon Police Department responded to the parking lot at Wal-Mart this afternoon to check on a Shingle Springs man, found him dead

A Shingle Springs man was found dead inside an RV/van that was parked at Wal-Mart this afternoon.

Dixon police officers, along with the fire department, responded to the parking lot of around 3:30 p.m., in response to a call they received from the sister of the man.

Upon arrival, the officers found 42-year-old Charles Gardner dead inside the vehicle, Dixon Police Sgt. Loren Ellefson said.

“It sounds like he had a lot of health problems,” Ellefson said, adding that there is nothing suspicious about the death.

The Solano County Sheriff Coroner’s office also responded to the scene. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Not exactly a place to die with dignity.

I have a brother who is this person's age. He was young. It can't be easy for his family right now. Tough.

To the family, I'm sorry for your loss. To the City of Dixon please have the guts to find the total expensis involved in this unfortunate situation and send an invoice for these expensis to Walmart as it is their policy that allows campers in their lots and that it was in there lot that this happened.
